Practice of Tea Meditation in the time of “Shelter in Place”:
“I’m again amazed at the simplicity of this practice.
It is pure Zen, pure Chan.
Just this. Just to be with tea, be one with tea.
Just pour tea, just drink tea.
Being with the tea, just as it is.
Putting attention on the tea utensils as they are moved.
The faith that this simplicity is enough.
Just this is enough.
As the mind moves, gently bringing it back to whatever is right in front of me, and knowing this is enough.
The direct experience of drinking tea without adding anything.
Letting things be just as they are.”
